university cafe – the place to eat and meet

for lunch we had the pleasure to meet up with our german colleagues holger and lars from workity.com. the first time we met, was at the legendary barcamp hannover. then re:publica in berlin. now SDForum and the university cafe!
yes, the world is small, and more so palo alto. a pretty, green and residential city with lots of charme and friendly and open residents, students and entrepreneurs. in no time you get to know the next person… for example carolina, a nuclear physicist with spanish roots who’s working on the conversion of algae to biofuel and travelling between boston and san francisco, but loving palo alto. no wonder, everybody’s working outdoor and it seems like "office" is a foreign word over here. yes, the valley has its own vibes – a mix of Cape Town, Hawaii and little bit of Zurich ;)
