Tonight: Twestival for Water

Twitterers are going social! Hooray for that: Tonight sees the first installment of the Twestival, a worldwide charity rally taking place in more than 175 cities around the globe. Volunteers have in cooperation with charity:water organized meet-ups to raise awareness for the water issue and at the same time donate. Still today, millions of people around the world don’t have access to unpolluted water, mainly in Africa. This makes them ill, weak and even causes violent conflict.
If you twitter or simply wish to get involved (which is utterly important!), please check the Twestival site for what’s going on near you. Unfortunately, there is no happening tonight in our home country Switzerland – we’ll set something up next time! For everybody who can’t make it to any of the meetings, please check out the download store: For a donation (make it a hefty one!) you can download songs from such well-known artist as Bloc Party or the fabulous Fujiya & Miyagji. Or you can participate in an ebay auction bidding on things like a autographed Shaquille O’Neal sneaker. Or you can buy one of these cutesy T-Shirts.

Really tried to get CH twestival going but Nothing. Instead I’m supporting My home town Cape Town @capetwestival :)
…and get my South African roots reactivated :)
