Should you decide to build an internet company one day you'll need to understand the market, build a strong network and get as much exposure as possible. Internet conferences offer a good opportunity to do so. But don't expect a holiday. If you want to go well prepared - check trough all the attendees in advance and think well who you want to meet. Internet conferences are not cheap - and believe me, all that hunting, pitching and small talking can get quite annoying after two days - especially if you just want to get back to your team to build what you're selling ;)

Digital Curation: Content is becoming a commodity. Everybody can create content. Digital curators can seperate good content from crap and aggregate good content for individual needs.
Collaboration: The web is not just a communication platform anymore. It is becoming a huge collaboration platform.
Digital Nomads: More and more people work and collaborate virtually. Co-working facilities are required more than ever.
Data Leaking: USB Flash Drives: More and more information is creaping out of corporates into places where it shouldn't be...
