I was just browsing through the pics from BarCamp Berlin @ deutsche-startups.de and found our friend Dominik from Wua.la with this very stylish shirt...:

Did I miss something? Nevertheless... the shirt looks great, and it seems you guys had tons of fun! ;-)

Again, Web Monday Zurich!

Like every Web Monday a happy crowd of Swiss and German Web entrepreneurs and afficionados met for drinks and exchange.

Wuala was the perfect host, and after attending their launch a few weeks ago, I even managed to find the office at first try! Christian Hirsig presented  Atizo’s open innovation story. Fabienne Steiner gave some views behind WebnWine’s stealth curtain and Dania didn’t miss the chance to call for some combatants to join the Wualas and the Amazees in Berlin for some Swiss made turmoil (berlinweek). We recommend Barcamp Berlin 3, the Facebook Developer Garage, Web 2.0 Expo Europe and LateCrunch.

Don't miss this offer: The Amazee and the Web Monday Zurich community receives a 35% flat discount across all conference packages! Use this code to get the discount upon registration: webeu08gr51

Yes, and last but least we pissed ourselves laughing when we finished today‘s sessions with 2008’s most legendary pitch: Tonchidot! This video is general education.

Storage made social!

After more than 3 years of development our buddies from wuala successfully launched the beta version of their social online storage system. Their revolutionary web-desktop-combi-machine basically allows you to dump and share files with the world. But there are a few things that really make wuala stand out: All data is encrypted on the user's computer (not even wuala can decrypt the data) and split into fragments which then are stored on in the peer-to-peer grid and redundantly on wuala's servers. In terms of social features, the service offers file sharing, shared folders, groups, public folders, comments, notifications, and chat. And if this sounds like a sales pitch, it's because it is :) Register for Wua.la today!

Below some impressions from the launch party!
