barcamp hannover

es waren drei tolle tage! ganz herzlichen dank an das orga team und die zahlreichen sponsoren des barcamp hannover 2008. zuerst mal für die gemütliche eröffnungsparty im spandau mit dem bremer kollegen beck, den aufstrebenden bionade tutti-fruttis und vielen guten barcampern. insbesondere aber für die zwei gut organisierten barcamp tage in der IJK. die IJK liegt auf dem expo plaza; surreal gut – peter du hattest recht mit dem ende der welt. der sich in zersetzung befindliche holländische pavillon brachte tatsächlich noch ein solide hochseeatmosphäre in das gelände.
der erste tag startete mit einem umfassenden survival kit bestehend aus t-shirts, jeder menge guter t3n magazine, einer einkaufstasche, in der alle mitnehmsel verstaut werden konnten und natürlich dem klebrigen barcamp sticker. gegen 10 gab’s dann den ersten kaffee von sonntagmorgen.com und kurz darauf fuhr dann die die 1. hannoverianische brötchendivision auf. für das leibliche wohl war also mütterlichst gesorgt und so konnten die sessions über die folgenden zwei tage ihren lauf nehmen. die themenvielfalt liess definitiv keine mangelerscheinungen (höchstens chronische opportunitätskosten) aufkommen. für bilder: flickr
besonderer dank gilt auch dirk kirchberg, der dania und mich am samstag auf eine interessante tour durch die hannover innerstadt ausgeführt hat! für alle freunde, die auf analoges leben, aber digitales arbeiten stehen, sei auf sein rundumqualitätsblog verwiesen: cafedigital. das sag ich unabhängig von unserer nennung.
weiter so hannoveraner, wir haben uns köstlich amüsiert (das powerpoint karaoke markierte den zenith), informiert und ein paar ganz feine leute kennen gelernt! wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten anlass mit euch! zürich- oder maschsee – egal.

nach einer woche alphatesten…

…möchten wir uns bei euch herzlich bedanken für die vielen anregenden, für uns äusserst wertvollen rückmeldungen. ihr habt uns ein paar mal unsere oft schon betriebsblinden augen geöffnet für fehlerchen und fehler, unschönheiten und inkonsistenzen, uns aber auch unglaublich angespornt durch lob und zuspruch.
all eure feedbacks werden zuerst gesammelt, dann priorisiert und fliessen dann, je nach aufwand der für die implementierung anfällt, schon in das nächste release ein. wir halten euch darüber auf dem laufenden und freuen uns jedesmal sehr, wenn wieder eine/r von euch teil von amazee wir.
falls ihr noch keinen zugangscode erhalten habt und uns gerne beim testen helfen wollt, meldet euch via contactform (kategorie alpha testing). wir werden euch, sobald und insofern die möglichkeit zum mittesten besteht, diesbezüglich kontaktieren.

The LIFT experience

I spent the past few days in Geneva at the LIFT conference, a three day event to explore the social impact of new technologies. The atmosphere at LIFT is extremely creative. During the breaks you can choose between adding your voice to the LIFT song, transforming your handwrite into a computer font, giving your statement on the conference in a webcam, watching a dancer move through the mass and much more. It’s very easy to make contact with all kinds of different people due to the relaxed mood.
I had a great time, met a lot of nice new people and had the opportunity to get to know some Swiss “start-up colleagues” better. Although the sessions in the conference were of good quality, the networking aspect at such conferences is even more valuable to me. I explained the Amazee concept and social collaboration so many times got lots of great feedback.
Thanks to everybody for this cool conference and all the inspiring chats. See you next year at LIFT…hopefully with Amazee presenting at the Venture Night!

edit: thanks to the almost superhuman commitment of our friends and partners from cyon.ch (who are by the way not at all responsible for the failure!) we managed to solve the mail problem with our domain registrar.
thank you for your understanding and sorry for any inconveniences caused by this.
due to extremely strange, obscure and quite intimidating circumstances (probably caused by evil aliens) the amazee team has lost email contact to the known universe for more than three days now. please excuse any inconveniences, try to contact us using skype or just come for a visit at technopark (there’s still a lot of beer left from our great opening party).
we are working hard on this issue and we will keep you updated about any progress.
