there is no time like the present
November 28, 2007
on 7 of july 2007 i left the following post in my personal blog:
"it’s one week now since i’m unemployed. it feels a bit like having left a harbour where i learnt quite a lot about life out at sea (and the harbour inns around bahnhofstrasse ;-). now our nutshell is taking us out. we know that we want to reach a mostly undiscovered continent and we’ll either succeed, sink or become robinson crusoes somewhere on a distant island. life feels like an adventure again and i like it!…"
our nutshell has in the meantime grown into a little dinghy named amazee and we’ve neither sunk nor have we become robinson crusoes. on the contrary, the sea is our new home and our sailing skills are improving day by day. believe me, there are only few moments i do not think: there is no time like the present.

She’s currently immatriculated at the university of klagenfurt, finalizing her master’s degree in media and communication science. with her austrian roots she adds another nationality to amazee’s international portfolio. a warm welcome from all of us!

finding the right person for a key position is probably one of the most rewarding feelings an entrepreneur can have. lucas bally already committed himself a while ago, but now officially signed his working contract. Here is the proof in a picture: luci, friday morning, cafe weggen, holding amazee working contract no. 1. a warm welcome!

the brain works – the environment inspires
November 22, 2007
my way to work was rather short in the past few months – from the bedroom to the guestroom (=office). besides all the advantages of shuch a short trip (no costs, no cold ears, no people coughing at you neck in public transport…) i must admit that it wasn’t really the most inspiring working mode! changing the surroundings once in a while definitely supports my productivity, especially if it’s more about conceptual and strategic stuff. and because the only three things i need is my brain, my fine notebook and a broadband connection i have decided to move to hawaii where i always felt that working environment is best. no, just joking. i’ll keep that move for a later stage.
per mid january the amazee team (luci, greg and myself) will move to technopark zurich which should definitely provide the right environment for a small internet start-up like ours! we’re very much looking forward to that step. should you be round on 21 january just pop in for a drink - our office is Newton 2012.
